We were recently happy to donate a license of Time Clock MTS to the the Central New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Fred Legawiec, a volunteer for the Society has been kind enough to write a few works about how they’ll be using the software. You can find Fred’s words below:
First and foremost, Thank you very much and I gladly accept the terms of the donated license. Here are the plans for the stand alone time clock in regard to the Central New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. (CNYSPCA):
As a volunteer for the CNY SPCA, I was asked to bring the hour logging of volunteers into the 21st century. Presently the SPCA uses three large binders that volunteers sign in their time in and time out hours on individual sheets! Not fun compiling the hours used! I looked at dozens of PC time clock programs but almost all were lacking in detailed reports. I read a review of MTS time clock program and downloaded the trial version! Perfection Personified!! It was exactly what we were looking for. Very simple to use, point and click clock in and clock out functions, fantastic report functions that allow for detailed reports by job function, flexibility that allows for main screen label changes. Our goal is to be totally PC functional by 1-1-2018 and thanks to MTS, it is within our reach!! With over 250 volunteers, the productivity just increased threefold for our organization. Great program for volunteer non-profit organizations that hope to utilize their volunteers to the maximum. Thank you MTS!! Fred Legawiec, Central New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

The following was emailed to us by Dusty Straub, owner of Dusty’s Auto Electrical and Mechanical, based in Roma, Queensland.
We specialize in Auto Electrical and Mechanical repairs to mainly heavy vehicles. We are a small shop operating for 3 years now, we have 2 full time employees plus myself. We have started using TimeClockMTS to record the hours worked on jobs for the shop. It’s a perfect solution, as it allows us to centralize and secure the data collected on an in-house server we run. We have a record of the hours logged to any job and we can “prove” to our customers we have worked those hours on the job. Its more accurate than employees guessing times, as in the past we lost a lot of time with our employees going from job to job and not writing it down.
We also have contract staff come in from time to time and they are able to clock in and record their time on-site. They can print off a time attendance sheet which becomes the basis for their invoice based on the time they were here. This avoids any discrepancies with times.
As a small business located in Western Queensland, we find Internet services are not always reliable. Hence my reluctance to use cloud based solutions. TimeClockMTS offers us a choice to own our software so to speak and avoid paying ongoing fees for fragmented cloud services.
The server provides other services such as mail and intranet for our business. We run MySQL as our backend database for everything. It is easy to manage and backup, so when I saw TimeClockMTS was able to utilize MySQL, I immediately set it up to use our existing database.
We plan on running 1 additional PC with the application on it later down the track as a backup. This would see a total of 2 PC’s networked to provide the clocking service as well as the Intranet services for our business.
Thanks to Dusty for letting us know what he’s doing with Time Clock MTS. It’s always great to hear from our users! You can view the Dusty’s Auto Electrical & Mechanical Website here.

We’re always interested to hear what users of Time Clock MTS have got to say about the software. When we receive a review or testimonial we post it over on our customer reviews page. Other people have posted up reviews via online review sites, which is always great as it helps get the word out about Time Clock MTS. If you’re feeling like you want to share your experiences (good or bad) with Time Clock MTS with the world at large then we’d love it if you posted a review online. There’s a number of ways you can do this, but we suggest one of the following methods:

Geoffrey Keitel, Assistant Camp Director for The Gifted Child Society who are based in New Jersey reached out to us recently asking about how he might best use Time Clock MTS to track attendance at their Summer Super Stars Camp. His particular areas of concern were with the sheer number of campers, instructors, and counselors they have to track and his need for real time data. Time Clock MTS excels in these areas. I’ll let Geoffrey take it from here:
The Gifted Child Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization from New Jersey, USA. Our vision is to become the Center of Excellence for the overall well-being of gifted children and the essential resource for the families, educators and other support groups who inspire them. Our mission is to encourage and further the overall well-being of gifted children, through each stage of their development, and to provide them with the inspiration and means by which they will achieve their full potential. In support of the above, we provide specialty enrichment programs to our gifted learners, including our Saturday Workshops and Summer Super Stars Camp STEAM program, among others. Our organization has been working with gifted children since our incorporation in 1957.
Summer Super Stars Camp STEAM begins on June 27th and we are currently ramping up for our opening day. Our camp offers both academic and recreational activities for gifted students during the summer holiday from school. At this time, most of our work is manual and extremely time-intensive. We have stepped up our efforts significantly this year to streamline and redesign our operational infrastructure to create an effective and productive foundation from which we can successfully operate. To this end, we have been searching for ready-made, affordable solutions that would reduce or completely eliminate the need for paper in many of our manual processes. Given that we are a non-profit organization, we do not have funding available to accomplish what we have identified as key areas to automate/ streamline so we have been exploring what alternatives are “out there”, in hopes we could find a solution that we could use. That’s how we found you and your Time Clock MTS solution, which is nothing short of fabulous.
As of now, our attendance tracking oversight is completely manual, extremely time-consuming, and has the potential for error, which is a huge challenge for us as we keep track of hundreds of campers, up to thirty instructors, and over 60 camp counselors. Any reporting errors negatively impact our payroll processing directly. From what we’ve read about Time Clock MTS Stand Alone, your solution would enable us to cut our time spent tracking attendance tremendously, and would significantly reduce the potential for error. The accuracy and design of your system would give us the ability to create “real-time” attendance reports both for staff which is much needed for us. Since we work with gifted learners aged pre-K through 8th grades, this is a significant process that requires intense oversight; having a tool such as this available would help us tremendously.

Chief Lonnie Kuhn and the volunteer fire department in Corinth, Kentucky have been using Time Clock MTS. Lonnie was kind enough to send through some information recently explaining how and why they are using Time Clock MTS.
Thank you for the registration key, and I love how your company helps out us little guys by allowing access to your software.
Our department began using Time Clock MTS several years ago, as we are a fully volunteer agency, this software has helped our agency significantly with reports showing our Rural Fire Board, as well as our County Fiscal Court the benefits that would come from the possibility of reimbursing our members with some type of monetary reimbursement (whether it be a stipend type reimbursement, or something of that nature (large annual get together, company picnic or something like that). By our agency showing the powers that be how much time our members devote to the Volunteer Fire Department, it has allowed a better understanding by them of what it takes for department to function, and just how much time our members devote to the department, away from their families and family functions.
Thank you greatly for allowing us the use of your software, and I look forward to contributing at some point in time in the future to the software.

The Severn Area Rescue Association (SARA) is close in-shore boat rescue and land search organization in the south west of the UK. It is run entirely on donations and they are using Time Clock MTS to track the activity of their volunteers and kindly supplied us with the information below explaining their use of the system.
We are a Lifeboat and Mountain rescue charity based in the UK, up till now we have used a signing in book then have to work out the attendance by going through the book and trying to count the times. This was very time consuming for our volunteers and sometimes we had problems trying to read the names.
Now we can just run a report of who and when our volunteers clocked in. We do not use the overtime and wages facilities due to being all volunteers, but this great bit of software has helped us cut our volunteers hours for admin.
Pros:
Easy to set up and use by our volunteers. Easy to run reports saving us many hours of admin time.
Cons:
For us it would be good if we could disable some of the facilities we don’t use. Otherwise none.
A mobile app for Iphone and android phones would be good so out volunteers can log admin / fundraising hours when not at the Lifeboat station.
Summary:
Great easy to use software with great support. Helping us to cut our volunteers admin times enabling them to concentrate on saving lives and training. We recommend this software to any charity or business looking for a clocking in system.
